SMITHS HEIMANN’s equipment is widely used in the Banking Sector, Mining Fields (Diamonds, Gold and Platinum) Security Forces, Airlines, Border Posts, Post Offices, Government Buildings and many other fields.

Due to the wide base of installed equipment R&D has several full time factory trained service technicians as well as keeps a very large stock of spares. R&D services X-Ray systems as far north as Egypt, and we have started servicing for SMITHS HEIMANN equipment south of the Sahara.

R&D via its personnel has over 50 years combined X-Ray knowledge and looks after 1 500 plus X-Ray installations in Southern Africa.The complete range of products are sold and supported from a local base.

TRAINING

R&D Screening will place a computerized training system into operation. This will be used for technical as well as operator training in accordance with latest overseas standards. R&D is committed to giving excellent advice on equipment and service in a specialized field. The company is small, works as a closeknit team, financially sound and has been in this and other allied fields since 1978. Our aim is to grow according to demand and not overextend into too many diversified applications.

RENTALS

R&D has entered the market with rental facilities. Several units, easy to transport and operate, are available for either short-term or long-term rental.
